Taylor

Taylor Swift is that rarest of pop phenomenons A superstar who managed to seamlessly transition from the traditional to making her an iconic celebrity and then conquering the world in the process. Swift let go of the influences from her country music like they were an extra layer of skin. She revealed that she was among the finest singers/songwriters from the generation she was born into. Swift could make the moment personal or harness it to her advantage. Swift's early tracks, such as the neotribute to Tim McGraw were a testament to her talents. However, her second album Fearless from 2008 showed an songwriter discovering her voice and a wider fan base. The album was able to have significant reach not just on the U.S. where it racked seven platinum singles due to the Top Ten hits Love Story and Belong with Me Belong with Me but throughout the globe, performing especially well with Canada, the U.K. Canada and Australia. Swift took off to the peak of her game when she released Speak Now. In the three subsequent albums the three albums that followed -- Red 2012, 1989 2014 as well as Reputation 2017 -- her success only grew. It was a clear indicator that Swift had entered an entirely new world of pop which she was able to fit into. She was at the top of pop until she reverted to her own style on her sister albums folklore & Evermore in 2020.
