Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised with 12 other children. The vivid imagination of her mother helped her escape from the pressures of daily life. She was writing songs before she learned to read or write. Within 8 years she got her first guitar. In the age of 11 she started singing on Knoxville Tenn's radio station. In the following year, she made her first album with Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. The singer established a name on the local circuit while in high school but she dreamed of a bigger stage. The day after she graduated in 1964, she relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her two first charting albums on Monument Records. In the year 1967, Porter Wagoner was looking for an actress to sing for his syndicated television show. Parton was hired in the year 1967 she signed with RCA Records by 1968, and was a part of the Grand Ole Opry. The year 1974 was the first when she made the decision to quit Wagoner's program as the popularity of her solo albums including Joshua Coat, Many Colors and Jolene was outstripping their joint efforts. Parton was a part of the group that split after the end of their collaboration with Wagoner was the one to write I Will Always Love You and had it reach No. The first time it reached No. 1 was 1974.
