Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, born in Wellington,) is the name of a Canadian actress. Born in Winnipeg and was raised in Wellington Paquin was able to make her acting debut as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress aged 11 years old, which makes her the second youngest winner in Oscar history. Anna Paquin spelled out Anna Helene Paquin was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada on the 24th of July, 1982. She is a Canadian-born actress from New Zealand. In 1993 she won her first Academy Award at age 11 to play the inquisitive, talkative daughter that was Holly Hunter who played the principal role. After an audition Flora McGrath was cast as the daughter of a Scottish musician. Flora McGrath is the child of a mute Scottish musician, who emigrated from Scotland to New Zealand to marry in the 19th century. At the age of a teen her family left Canada and eventually to United States. Paquin was cast as the child title in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in 1996. In addition, she played the lead part on the screen in Fly Away Home, a film that was released in that same year. Paquin played Frankie Addams in a 1997 film adaptation for television of the novel by Carson McCullers The Member of the Wedding as well as a small role as Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). She played teenagers as part of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) as well as her polexia Aphrodisa groupie in Almost Famous (2000).
