Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. She is the daughter of Peter Silk - an academic as well as Ilkay Silk, a gifted actor who is also a director, writer and producer. Anna Silk's dad is from Britain, as is her mother is an Turkish Cypriot English expat. Anna Silk remembers her mother watching work at play rehearsals. In her early years Anna appeared in a number of television commercials. Anna relocated to Toronto, Ontario, in order to pursue acting.
