
Kate Hudson is an accomplished actor, most famous for her character Penny Lane in the Hollywood film Almost Famous which earned her an Academy Award nomination. Her birthplace was a clan of movie stars and seemed to have a natural flair for the limelight. Her mother, Goldie Hawn, is a well-known film actor while her father, Bill Hudson, is a comedian. From a young age she was passionate about performing and would grab every opportunity to perform on the stage. When she was a kid her parents taught her dancing lessons, and she was trained at the Santa Monica Playhouse. The actress began acting in 1996 after she received the role in the TV drama Party of Five. Although she was accepted to New York University, Kate Hudson was more focused on becoming an entrepreneur in showbiz rather than an academic degree. After acting in minor films, she was offered the part that would later become one of her major roles in her career. She was chosen to play Penny Lane in the comedy drama film Almost Famous.
